In Friday's non-league game, the host Piqua Indians baseball team scored a close 1-0 win over the Covington Buccs.

The Indians (12-13) will now prepare for their game against Miami East (Casstown, OH). The Vikings go into the non-league game with a 10-9 record. In their last contest, Miami East got by Northwestern (Springfield, OH), 13-3, in a non-league contest.

The Buccs now possess a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Jackson Center for a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 20. Covington will confront a Tigers squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Bradford (Bradford, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 8-11.
