Illinois High School Baseball - Kewanee holds off Galesburg

May 16, 2025: Galesburg, IL 61401

The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL) and the host Galesburg Silver Streaks (Galesburg, IL), saw Kewanee's baseball team beat Galesburg by a margin of 15-11.

The Boilermakers (12-18) will now prepare for their battle against Princeton (Princeton, IL). The Tigers enter the Three Rivers battle with a 10-12 record. In their last battle, Princeton held off Ottawa (Ottawa, IL), 12-9, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Silver Streaks face the Richwoods Knights (Peoria, IL) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, May 21. Galesburg will attempt to improve on its 14-18 season record. The Knights enter the battle with a 18-11 record after their 10-9 non-league loss to Lincoln (Lincoln, IL).
