Grundy Center Spartans (Grundy Center, IA) boosters exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Benton Bobcats (Van Horne, IA), 5-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Grundy Center moves its record to 3-10 on the campaign. The Spartans host Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league test on Monday, May 19. The Raiders come into the test with a record of 6-18. Williamsburg won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Cedar Valley Christian (Cedar Rapids, IA)

The Bobcats now sport a 6-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gladbrook-Reinbeck for a non-league test on Friday, May 16. Benton will clash with a Rebels team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Union (La Porte City, IA). The Rebels record now stands at 4-14.
