Indiana High School Softball - Cowan topped by New Castle

New Castle Trojans (New Castle, IN) supporters left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the host Cowan Blackhawks (Muncie, IN), 9-1 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, New Castle improves its record to 9-7 on the year. The Trojans host Daleville (Daleville, IN) to play the Broncos in a non-league game on Saturday, May 17. The Broncos enter the game with a record of 13-5. Daleville lost 5-4 in their recent non-league game against Winchester Community (Winchester, IN)

The Blackhawks now hold a 6-12 record. They play next when they travel to Madison-Grant for a non-league game on Saturday, May 17. Cowan will play a Argylls squad coming off a 10-2 league win over Elwood (Elwood, IN). The Argylls record now stands at 15-6.
