Illinois High School Softball - Serena sneaks past LaSalle-Peru

In Friday's non-league match, the host Serena Huskers softball team scored a tight 2-1 win over the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers.
The Huskers (22-6) will now prepare for their match against Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL). The Roadrunners come into the non-league match with a 13-13 record. In their last match, Nazareth Academy was nipped by Benet Academy (Lisle, IL), 10-3, in a league match.
In their next game, the Cavaliers confront the Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, May 20. LaSalle-Peru will attempt to better on its 27-4 season record. The Maple Leafs come into the match with a 22-8 record after their 16-0 league win over Quincy (Quincy, IL).
