The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Oregon Panthers (Oregon, WI) and the host Middleton Cardinals (Middleton, WI), observed Oregon's softball team get by Middleton by a tally of 5-1.

The Panthers (21-1) will now prepare for their bout against Franklin (Franklin, WI). The Sabers go into the non-league bout with a 11-5 record. In their last bout, Franklin was routed by Kenosha Bradford (Kenosha, WI), 4-3, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Cardinals clash with the Sun Prairie West Wolves (Sun Prairie, WI) in a Big Eight bout, on Monday, May 19. Middleton will attempt to advance on its 19-4 season record. The Wolves go into the bout with a 7-14 record after their 6-3 league loss to Madison West (Madison, WI).
