The Wachusett Regional Mountaineers softball team scored 9 runs and held the host Westfield Bombers to 3 in the Mountaineers non-league win on Friday.

The Mountaineers now sport a 11-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Advanced Math & Science Academy for a non-league battle on Monday, May 19. Wachusett Regional will confront a Eagles team coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Oxford (Oxford, MA). The Eagles record now stands at 14-1.

With the loss, Westfield moves to 12-6 on the season. The Bombers host West Springfield (West Springfield, MA) to confront the Terriers in a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 21. The Terriers come into the battle with a record of 3-8. West Springfield lost 19-4 in their recent league battle against Longmeadow (Longmeadow, MA)
