Cohoes Tigers (Cohoes, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Coxsackie-Athens Indians (Coxsackie, NY), 9-8 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fonda-Fultonville for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 19. Cohoes will battle a Braves squad coming off a 14-2 non-league win over Mechanicville (Mechanicville, NY). The Braves record now stands at 13-4.

With the loss, Coxsackie-Athens falls to 3-6 on the campaign.
