DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals (DuBois, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Karns City Gremlins (Karns City, PA), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Smethport for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 18. DuBois Central Catholic will battle a Hubbers squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Elk County Catholic (St. Marys, PA). The Hubbers record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Karns City falls to 13-2 on the campaign. The Gremlins travel to Clarion-Limestone (Strattanville, PA) to battle the Lions in a Keystone Shortway - South challenge on Wednesday, May 18. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 7-6. Clarion-Limestone won 14-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Bradford (Bradford, PA)
