The Maloney Spartans routed the visiting Newington Nor'easters softball squad by a count of 10-2 in Tuesday's league battle.
The Spartans (13-5) will now prepare for their battle against Bristol Eastern (Bristol, CT). The Lancers go into the Central Connecticut - South outing with a 10-8 record. In their last outing, Bristol Eastern was routed by Manchester (Manchester, CT), 10-7, in a non-league outing.
The Nor'easters (7-8) will now prepare for their outing against Lewis Mills (Burlington, CT). The Spartans enter the Central Connecticut - South outing with a 2-15 record. In their last outing, Lewis Mills was routed by Bristol Eastern (Bristol, CT), 17-1, in a league outing.
