The Frederick Gunn Highlanders baseball team (Washington, CT), was overwhelmed 14-1 in Wednesday's league outing with the visiting Cheshire Academy Cats (Cheshire, CT)
The Cats now hold a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Salisbury School for a non-league outing on Saturday, May 20. Cheshire Academy will confront a Crimson Knights team coming off a 4-0 league win over Pomfret School (Pomfret, CT). The Crimson Knights record now stands at 15-3.
Next, the Highlanders confront the Pomfret School Griffins (Pomfret, CT) in a Western New England outing, on Saturday, May 20. Frederick Gunn will attempt to advance on its 3-14 season record. The Griffins go into the outing with a 4-11 record after their 4-0 league loss to Salisbury School (Salisbury, CT).
