Franklin Warriors (Somerset, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting West Windsor-Plainsboro North Knights (Plainsboro, NJ), 5-4 in a non-league test.
With the win, Franklin upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Warriors host Princeton (Princeton, NJ) to play the Tigers in a non-league battle on Thursday, May 18. The Tigers enter the battle with a record of 4-4.
The Knights now possess a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host West Windsor-Plainsboro South for a Colonial Valley - Colonial battle on Saturday, May 20. West Windsor-Plainsboro North will play a Pirates squad coming off a 8-6 league loss to Hightstown (Hightstown, NJ). The Pirates record now stands at 8-6.
