The Doherty Memorial Highlanders (Worcester, MA) softball the visiting Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles (Marlborough, MA), 7-3 in Wednesday's non-league bout.
The Highlanders (9-6) will now prepare for their bout against Wachusett Regional (Holden, MA). The Mountaineers go into the non-league bout with a 18-0 record. In their last bout, Wachusett Regional held off Shepherd Hill Regional (Dudley, MA), 4-0, in a league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 10-6 record. They play next when they travel to Uxbridge for a non-league bout on Monday, May 22. Advanced Math & Science Academy will confront a Spartans squad coming off a 6-4 league win over Northbridge (Whitinsville, MA). The Spartans record now stands at 16-2.
