The Charlestown Pirates softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Henryville Hornets to 0 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Charlestown improves its record to 18-8 on the year. The Pirates host Southwestern (Hanover, IN) to clash with the Rebels in a non-league game on Thursday, May 18. The Rebels come into the game with a record of 14-13. Southwestern lost 13-3 in their recent league game against Switzerland County (Vevay, IN)

In their next game, the Hornets clash with the Trinity Lutheran Cougars (Seymour, IN) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, May 23. Henryville will attempt to improve on its 5-13 season record. The Cougars come into the game with a 14-10 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Loogootee (Loogootee, IN).
