Linganore Lancers (Frederick, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots (Frederick, MD), 11-5 in a non-league challenge.
The Lancers now own a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Damascus for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 19. Linganore will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 24-0 non-league win over Magruder (Rockville, MD). The Hornets record now stands at 23-1.
With the loss, Governor Thomas Johnson falls to 6-7 on the campaign.
