In Wednesday's non-league outing, the host Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings softball team scored a close 6-5 win over the Marian Catholic Spartans.

Coming up next, the Vikings encounter the Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL) in a SouthWest Suburban outing, on Thursday, May 18. Homewood-Flossmoor will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record. The Griffins enter the outing with a 23-4 record after their 11-1 league win over Sandburg (Orland Park, IL).

The Spartans (18-10) will now prepare for their outing against De La Salle (Chicago, IL). The Meteors enter the non-league outing with a 17-12 record. In their last outing, De La Salle nipped Latin (Chicago, IL), 25-0, in a non-league contest.
