In Friday's league outing, the visiting Brookings Bobcats softball team scored a nice 16-5 win over the Sturgis Brown Scoopers.
Coming up next, the Bobcats encounter the Spearfish Spartans (Spearfish, SD) in a Class AA outing, on Friday, May 17. Brookings will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Spartans enter the outing with a 4-14 record after their 13-10 league win over Rapid City Central (Rapid City, SD).
The Scoopers (6-10) will now prepare for their outing against Mitchell (Mitchell, SD). The Kernels enter the Class AA outing with a 10-10 record. In their last outing, Mitchell was routed by Stevens (Rapid City, SD), 19-2, in a league outing.
