Maynard Tigers (Maynard, MA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Clinton Gaels (Clinton, MA), 4-1 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 11-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hopedale for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 21.

With the loss, Clinton falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Gaels travel to Uxbridge (Uxbridge, MA) to face the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 20. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 17-1. Uxbridge won 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Millbury (Millbury, MA)
