Cumberland Colts (Seabrook, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Paulsboro Red Raiders (Paulsboro, NJ), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Colts now sport a 5-15 record.

With the loss, Paulsboro falls to 10-9 on the campaign. The Red raiders travel to Gateway Regional (Woodbury Heights, NJ) to face the Gators in a Colonial - Patriot challenge on Saturday, May 18. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 5-10. Gateway Regional won 11-1 in their recent league challenge against Haddonfield (Haddonfield, NJ)
