Edina Hornets (Edina, MN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Richfield Spartans (Richfield, MN), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Hornets now sport a 12-8 record.

With the loss, Richfield falls to 13-10 on the campaign. The Spartans host Highland Park (St. Paul, MN) to face the Scots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 21. The Scots enter the challenge with a record of 10-6.
