Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Silver Fighting Colts (Silver City, NM), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Bengals now own a 23-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Artesia for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 18. Gallup will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Silver (Silver City, NM). The Bulldogs record now stands at 23-8.

With the loss, Silver falls to 24-7 on the campaign. The Fighting colts travel to Artesia (Artesia, NM) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 17.
