In Friday's non-league outing, the host Seneca Fighting Irish softball squad scored a tight 6-0 win over the Lexington Minutemen.

The Fighting Irish now own a 32-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Coal City for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 21. Seneca will battle a Coalers squad coming off a 5-4 non-league win over Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL). The Coalers record now stands at 21-10.

With the loss, Lexington falls to 17-16 on the campaign.
