Winona Winhawks (Winona, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Charles Fighting Saints (St. Charles, MN), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Winhawks now own a 16-4 record.

With the loss, St. Charles falls to 11-9 on the campaign. The Fighting saints host La Crescent (La Crescent, MN) to battle the Lancers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 20.
