In Saturday's non-league game, the host Standish-Sterling Panthers baseball team scored a close 6-2 win over the Dow Chargers.
The Panthers (18-2) will now prepare for their game against Clare (Clare, MI). The Pioneers go into the non-league game with a 12-4 record. In their last game, Clare nudged Meridian (Sanford, MI), 11-1, in a league game.
Next, the Chargers play the Frankenmuth Eagles (Frankenmuth, MI) in a non-league game, on Saturday, May 17. Dow will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record. The Eagles go into the game with a 7-6 record after their 14-4 non-league loss to Laker (Pigeon, MI).
