In Saturday's non-league bout, the Newaygo Lions (Newaygo, MI) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Fremont Packers (Fremont, MI), by a tally of 8-1.

Next up, the Lions encounter the Whitehall Vikings (Whitehall, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 19. Newaygo will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Vikings enter the bout with a 12-15 record after their 14-4 non-league win over Oakridge (Muskegon, MI).

The Packers (11-15) will now prepare for their bout against Manistee (Manistee, MI). The Mariners enter the non-league bout with a 9-12 record. In their last bout, Manistee was overwhelmed by Shelby (Shelby, MI), 6-5, in a non-league bout.
