The Waunakee Warriors baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Holmen Vikings to 1 in the Warriors non-league win on Saturday.
The Warriors now own a 9-12 record. They take the field next when they host Fort Atkinson for a Badger-Large test on Tuesday, May 20. Waunakee will play a Blackhawks team coming off a 15-0 league loss to Monona Grove (Monona, WI). The Blackhawks record now stands at 9-15.
With the defeat, Holmen drops to 14-7 on the year. The Vikings travel to Aquinas (La Crosse, WI) to play the Blugolds in a Mississippi Valley test on Monday, May 19. The Blugolds go into the test with a record of 16-2. Aquinas won 14-0 in their recent non-league test against Pacelli (Stevens Point, WI)
