The Viroqua Blackhawks baseball team scored 9 runs and held the host Richland Center Hornets to 2 in the Blackhawks non-league win on Saturday.
The Blackhawks now own a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they host Westby for a Coulee test on Monday, May 19. Viroqua will play a Norsemen team coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Cashton (Cashton, WI). The Norsemen record now stands at 20-5.
With the defeat, Richland Center drops to 6-11 on the year. The Hornets host Dodgeville (Dodgeville, WI) to play the Dodgers in a SWC test on Tuesday, May 20. The Dodgers go into the test with a record of 16-5. Dodgeville won 5-4 in their recent non-league test against New Glarus (New Glarus, WI)
