In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Palatine Pirates volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Deerfield Warriors.

The Pirates (16-17) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Charles North (St. Charles, IL). The North Stars come into the non-league challenge with a 16-11 record. In their last challenge, St. Charles North edged Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Warriors play the Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, May 17. Deerfield will attempt to upgrade on its 14-15 season record. The Ramblers come into the challenge with a 13-16 record after their 2-0 league win over Saint Ignatius College Prep (Chicago, IL).
