Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Carmel Greyhounds (Carmel, IN), 3-0 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Homestead advances its record to 11-7 on the season. The Spartans travel to Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, IN) to battle the Royals in a non-league match on Saturday, May 17. The Royals come into the match with a record of 2-0. Hamilton Southeastern won 3-2 in their recent non-league match against Delta (Muncie, IN)

The Greyhounds now have a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McCutcheon for a non-league match on Monday, May 19. Carmel will battle a Mavericks squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Andrean (Merrillville, IN). The Mavericks record now stands at 13-10.
