In Saturday's non-league match, the host Dunlap Eagles softball team scored a tight 6-3 victory over the Bloomington Central Catholic Saints.
The Eagles (24-5) will now prepare for their match against Morton (Morton, IL). The Potters go into the Mid-Illini match with a 6-24 record. In their last match, Morton was routed by Normal University (Normal, IL), 9-5, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Saints battle the Westville Tigers (Westville, IL) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, May 21. Bloomington Central Catholic will attempt to better on its 20-12 season record. The Tigers go into the match with a 27-5 record after their 10-8 non-league win over Tri-Valley (Downs, IL).
