In Saturday's non-league match, the host Taunton Tigers softball team scored a tight 7-4 win over the La Salle Academy Rams.
The Tigers (16-0) will now prepare for their match against King Philip Regional (Wrentham, MA). The Warriors come into the Hockomock - Kelly - Rex match with a 9-2 record.
In their next game, the Rams confront the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a Division 1 match, on Tuesday, May 20. La Salle Academy will attempt to better on its 19-1 season record. The Sentinels come into the match with a 11-6 record after their 1-0 league loss to Prout (Wakefield, RI).
