Illinois High School Softball - Lockport gets by Yorkville

In Saturday's non-league match, the host Lockport Porters softball team scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Yorkville Foxes.
The Porters (23-9) will now prepare for their match against Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL). The Vikings go into the SouthWest Suburban match with a 10-14 record. In their last match, Homewood-Flossmoor tipped Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL), 11-4, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Foxes battle the Oswego East Wolves (Oswego, IL) in a Suburban Prairie - South match, on Monday, May 19. Yorkville will attempt to better on its 17-11 season record. The Wolves go into the match with a 18-12 record after their 21-5 league win over Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL).
