The Pillager Huskies got by the visiting Pierz Pioneers softball squad by a count of 10-9 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Huskies meet the Holdingford Huskers (Holdingford, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, May 19. Pillager will attempt to upgrade on its 8-11 season record. The Huskers go into the challenge with a 8-13 record after their 14-10 league win over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (Belgrade, MN).
The Pioneers (13-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Royalton (Royalton, MN). The Royals go into the non-league challenge with a 7-13 record. In their last challenge, Royalton held off Long Prairie-Grey Eagle (Long Prairie, MN), 13-3, in a non-league challenge.
