The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Seaholm Maples (Birmingham, MI) and the visiting Renaissance Phoenix (Detroit, MI), observed Seaholm's softball team prevail over Renaissance by a tally of 15-2.

The Maples (19-6) will now prepare for their bout against Athens (Troy, MI). The Red Hawks go into the Oakland - White bout with a 11-9 record. In their last bout, Athens knocked off Groves (Beverly Hills, MI), 19-8, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Phoenix clash with the Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks (Bloomfield Hills, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, May 19. Renaissance will attempt to advance on its 12-8 season record. The Black Hawks go into the bout with a 13-11 record after their 9-3 non-league loss to Dow (Midland, MI).
