The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Shepherd Bluejays (Shepherd, MI) and the visiting Yale Bulldogs (Yale, MI), observed Shepherd's softball team get by Yale by a tally of 9-5.

The Bluejays (16-11) will now prepare for their bout against Central (Bay City, MI). The Wolves go into the non-league bout with a 7-4 record. In their last bout, Central was routed by Bay City Western (Auburn, MI), 4-2, in a league outing.

With the loss, Yale moves to 6-7 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Frankenmuth (Frankenmuth, MI) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league outing on Saturday, May 17. The Eagles come into the outing with a record of 11-4. Frankenmuth lost 11-2 in their recent non-league outing against Millington (Millington, MI)
