Abbott RVT Wolverines (Danbury, CT) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT), 11-10 in a non-league test.
With the win, Abbott RVT upgrades its record to 15-4 on the season.
With the defeat, Shepaug Valley falls to 9-7 on the season. The Spartans host Northwestern Regional (Winsted, CT) to battle the Highlanders in a Berkshire test on Friday, May 20. The Highlanders come into the test with a record of 16-2. Northwestern Regional won 12-0 in their recent league test against Thomaston (Thomaston, CT)
