Cromwell Panthers (Cromwell, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Old Saybrook Rams (Old Saybrook, CT), 23-9 in a league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 17-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Branford for a Shoreline - Large challenge on Friday, May 20. Cromwell will face a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to East Haven (East Haven, CT). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 13-6.

With the loss, Old Saybrook falls to 0-15 on the campaign. The Rams travel to Fitch (Groton, CT) to face the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 21. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 9-6. Fitch won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against East Lyme (East Lyme, CT)
