In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Washington Academy Raiders (East Machias, ME), by a margin of 10-0.
With the triumph, Ellsworth moves its record to 8-1 on the year. The Eagles host Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME) to play the Trojans in a Class B North contest on Friday, May 20. The Trojans come into the contest with a record of 5-2.
In their next game, the Raiders play the Orono Riots (Orono, ME) in a Class C North contest, on Friday, May 20. Washington Academy will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Riots come into the contest with a 1-9 record after their 7-3 non-league loss to Old Town (Old Town, ME).
