In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Merion Mercy Academy Golden Bears (Merion Station, PA) softball team overwhelmed the host Upper Darby Royals (Drexel Hill, PA), by a margin of 15-1.
With the triumph, Merion Mercy Academy moves its record to 8-4 on the year.
In their next game, the Royals play the Haverford Fords (Havertown, PA) in a Central contest, on Thursday, May 19. Upper Darby will attempt to move on its 4-11 season record. The Fords come into the contest with a 19-0 record after their 9-8 non-league win over Henderson (West Chester, PA).
