Sayreville Bombers (Parlin, NJ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting Spotswood Chargers (Spotswood, NJ), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the win, Sayreville upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Bombers travel to South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, NJ) to battle the Vikings in a non-league test on Monday, May 22. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 7-9. South Brunswick won 6-3 in their recent non-league test against Hunterdon Central (Flemington, NJ)
With the defeat, Spotswood falls to 17-7 on the season. The Chargers host St. Thomas Aquinas (Edison, NJ) to battle the Trojans in a Greater Middlesex - Blue test on Friday, May 19. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 8-2.
