In Thursday's non-league contest, the Bloomington South Panthers (Bloomington, IN) softball team held off the visiting West Washington Senators (Campbellsburg, IN), by a margin of 1-0.

With the triumph, Bloomington South moves its record to 13-8 on the year. The Panthers travel to Columbus East (Columbus, IN) to play the Olympians in a non-league contest on Friday, May 19. The Olympians come into the contest with a record of 15-11. Columbus East won 10-8 in their recent non-league contest against Scottsburg (Scottsburg, IN)

In their next game, the Senators play the Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, May 20. West Washington will attempt to move on its 19-5 season record. The Marauders come into the contest with a 14-10 record after their 4-3 non-league loss to Center Grove (Greenwood, IN).
