In Thursday's non-league outing, the visiting Canfield Cardinals softball team scored a close 7-1 win over the Field Falcons.
Coming up next, the Cardinals battle the Austintown-Fitch Falcons (Youngstown, OH) in a All-American outing, on Saturday, May 20. Canfield will attempt to upgrade on its 21-2 season record. The Falcons enter the outing with a 18-0 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Mentor (Mentor, OH).
The Falcons (18-5) will now prepare for their outing against Norton (Norton, OH). The Panthers enter the Portage Trail - Metro outing with a 10-12 record. In their last outing, Norton was routed by Springfield (Akron, OH), 8-7, in a league outing.
