The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) softball the host Carey Blue Devils (Carey, OH), 9-7 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Chieftains (28-0) will now prepare for their bout against Lincolnview (Van Wert, OH). The Lancers go into the non-league bout with a 19-9 record. In their last bout, Lincolnview held off Crestview (Convoy, OH), 3-0, in a non-league bout.
