The West Essex Knights nudged the host Brearley Bears baseball team by a tally of 7-6 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Knights now hold a 20-4 record. They take the field next when they host Pequannock for a non-league bout on Monday, May 20. West Essex will face a Golden Panthers team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Cedar Grove (Cedar Grove, NJ). The Golden Panthers record now stands at 16-8.
Next, the Bears face the Dayton Bulldogs (Springfield, NJ) in a UCC - Mountain bout, on Monday, May 20. Brearley will attempt to advance on its 13-7 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 11-11 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Woodbridge (Woodbridge, NJ).
