Anchor Bay Tars (Fair Haven, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Lincoln Railsplitters (Ypsilanti, MI), 8-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Tars now own a 13-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Dakota for a Macomb Area - Red challenge on Tuesday, May 21. Anchor Bay will battle a Cougars squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Walled Lake Northern (Commerce, MI). The Cougars record now stands at 24-4.

With the loss, Lincoln falls to 5-5 on the campaign. The Railsplitters host Saline (Saline, MI) to battle the Hornets in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 20. The Hornets enter the challenge with a record of 15-0.
