The Pope John XXIII the host DePaul Catholic Spartans softball squad by a count of 6-4 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The (15-8) will now prepare for their battle against Morris Knolls (Rockaway, NJ). The Golden Eagles go into the NJAC - American battle with a 17-3 record.
The Spartans now sport a 13-12 record. They play next when they travel to Academy of St. Elizabeth for a non-league battle on Wednesday, May 29.
