In Sunday's non-league match, the visiting Lynn Classical Rams softball team scored a tight 16-9 victory over the Melrose Red Raiders.
The Rams (10-6) will now prepare for their match against Chelsea (Chelsea, MA). The Red Devils go into the Greater Boston match with a 1-2 record.
In their next game, the Red Raiders battle the Belmont Marauders (Belmont, MA) in a Middlesex match, on Monday, May 19. Melrose will attempt to better on its 1-10 season record.
