Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Griffith Panthers (Griffith, IN), 19-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Indians now own a 20-6 record. They take the field next when they host Hanover Central for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 20. Lake Central will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-4 non-league loss to Munster (Munster, IN). The Wildcats record now stands at 13-8.

With the loss, Griffith falls to 8-13 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Calumet New Tech (Gary, IN) to face the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 23. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 2-12. Calumet New Tech lost 11-0 in their recent league challenge against River Forest (Hobart, IN)
