The Mt. Pleasant Oilers softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Lapeer Lightning to 7 in the Oilers league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Mt. Pleasant moves its record to 5-6 on the year. The Oilers host Stockbridge (Stockbridge, MI) to play the Panthers in a non-league game on Friday, May 20. The Panthers come into the game with a record of 1-2. Stockbridge lost 14-2 in their recent non-league game against Pinckney (Pinckney, MI)
