In Thursday's non-league contest, the Morgan Township Cherokees (Valparaiso, IN) softball team the host Michigan City Wolves (Michigan City, IN), by a margin of 4-1.

With the triumph, Morgan Township moves its record to 11-6 on the year. The Cherokees host Knox (Knox, IN) to play the Redskins in a non-league contest on Friday, May 20. The Redskins come into the contest with a record of 9-13. Knox lost 10-5 in their recent non-league test against Bremen (Bremen, IN)

The Wolves (4-17) will now prepare for their test against Marquette Catholic (Michigan City, IN). The Blazers come into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Marquette Catholic was routed by Calumet Christian (Griffith, IN), 16-0, in a non-league test.
